Thanks for tracking this down, and for reporting it upstream with the zone analytics as proof.
We'll add your tip to the Claude section of the Connect guide: if Claude shows "Bad Gateway" on some calls, check the instance's analytics for POST /mcp. If the failed calls aren't there, the failure is on Claude's side and a retry gets through. I'll link the docs change here when it's live.
